About Dance Classes

Jacki Sorensen introduced the world’s first aerobic dancing program, originating over 50 years ago. It’s a progressive course that’s choreographed specifically for non-dancers. In your Get-It-All-Together class you’ll sway, stretch, crunch, squat, cha-cha, waltz, samba and swing yourself into total body fitness while enjoying music from The Hot 100, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Rock ‘n Roll, Country, Hip Hop and more! Our classes are effective, exciting and fun!

Jacki choreographs four new sessions per year. This regular rollout of new routines gets you excited, challenged and returning for more!

Class Format

Each class begins with a Warmup Dance to increase your metabolism and gets you ready to stretch. Without stopping you move to the Corework segment of choreographed stretches, abdominals exercises, and pushups to strengthen and tighten your entire torso.

Next comes our nonstop standing Vertifirm section that replaces spot exercises traditionally done lying down. This package provides a complete resistance training workout. Using body resistance, with the option of hand held weights and ankle weights, gives you the firm results you want. We work your triceps, biceps, delts, lats, traps, pecs, glutes, hams, quads and more!

In the Cardio Dance segment you put your weights away and dance at your own pace choosing from 3 levels: Low, medium or high. You can choose a level and stick with it for all the dances or experience an interval training effect by choosing a combination of levels. These personalized levels and our Heartrate System make it possible for students of different ages and varying degrees of fitness to all dance together! This is your chance to learn interesting combinations and patterns, burn fat for a leaner look and shape up your heart to have more energy!

Each class ends with a slow Cooldown Dance which is like a refreshing treat for a class well done!
